Lime Mortars Modified by Fine Ground Brick Body
Šmerdová, Ludmila ; Vyšvařil, Martin (referee) ; Rovnaníková, Pavla (advisor)
Natural pozzolanic materials played an important role in Ancient architecture. In the last decades and nowadays it is artifical pozzolan which especially finds its use as an additive to mortar and concrete to improve some, especially the mechanical properties. This master thesis deals with study of pozzolan type of fine brick powder which is a by-product of the production of calibrated bricks. Along with studying pozzolanic activity of brick powder, lime mortar with different proportions of brick powder as an additive or replacement of lime dust are investigated. What is observed is its impact on the consistency of these mortar, water absorption, strength in time or fracture-mechanical parameters of mortar. The results may indicate the possible potential use of this source of pozzolanic admixture in lime mortar and plaster which are nowadays mainly used for the restoration of facades of historic buildings.
Continual actual moisture of fine particulates measurement possibilities.
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Ing.Lukáš Brzobohatý (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis describes the process of measuring a hydrated lime moisture, using gravimetric method and FT-NIR spectroscopy. The aim of the theretical part was to analyse and present the area of infrared spectroscopy (IR), gathering the general information about infrared spectroscopy, Fourier transformation and near infrared spectroscopy (NIR). Experimental part of the thesis was carried out in limekiln Carmeuse in Mokré town, where the FT-NIR spectroscopy was investigated for possible usage in on-line measuring of hydrated lime moisture.
Evaluation of lime properties
Palušáková, Stanislava ; Beranová, Denisa (referee) ; Opravil, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the evaluation of the properties of limes, which are used in the field of heritage preservation of monuments, but also for common construction applications. The aim of this thesis is to draw up the appropriate set of analyzes that suffice the necessary minimum for the evaluated characteristics of air limes. Based on the results obtained in this set it will be characterized analysed lime and recommended it for a specific application. For simple solution of this work we have to deal with using traditional commercially available lime CL 90, CL80 and CL70. Selection of appropriate characteristic analysis was based on CSN EN 459.
Worm conveyor
Tichý, Jiří ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor contains of a proposal and design of a sloping hydrated lime worm conveyor. The project is composed of technical specifications and drawing documentation. the technical specifications deal eith calculating the main parameters of worms conveyor, drive desin, storage of spiral worm and strength calculation of spiral worm shft. Drawing documentation is worked into the AutoCAD Mechanical program and consist of drawing assembly with individual details of the spiral worm shaft, manufacturing drawings nad welding assembly of the spiral worm.
Kinetics of the continual measurement of the actual fine particulates moisture content.
Mayerová, Kateřina ; Ing.Lukáš Brzobohatý (referee) ; Svěrák, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the continual measurement of the hydrated lime moisture content on the principle of spectral measurements. The theoretical part describes the basic principles of the infrared spectroscopy, Fourier transformation and near infrared spectroscopy, which are used in the process of the spectroscopy measurement of fine particulates moisture content. The practical part of the work describes experiments and the evaluation of moisture hydrated lime measuring results, using gravimetric method and NIR spectroscopy in both the laboratory conditions and the conditions of operation production of hydrated lime as well. The part of the work monitors the spectroscopy measurement moisture values as the dependence on the optical quality of hydrate limes and the process conditions of the measurements.
The Screw conveyor
Hadraba, Tomáš ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Hloska, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis contains design and constructional solution of the horizontal screw conveyor which is used to transport hydrated lime according to set parameters. In thesis is given a calculation of the main dimensions, drive, conversion option and strength check of exposed parts of conveyor. The drawings are composed of the assembly of the proposed facility and individual details. The document was drawn up on the basis of technical report.
Worm conveyor
Sencovici, Patrik ; Jonák, Martin (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with calculation and construction of worm conveyor for the transport of hydrated lime. Thesis is created from text part and drawing documentation. Text part be occupied with calculation basic parameters, design drive, loading, imposition of bearings and strength calculation of worm conveyor. Drawing documentation contains drawing assembly of worm conveyor and manufacturing drawings of spiral worm.
Worm conveyor
Sedláček, Martin ; Jonák, Martin (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with calculation and construction of worm conveyor for slightly sloping transport. The whole work is divided into two main sections, which include structural and textual parts. The text contains analysis of option for single parts of conveyor, functional and strength calculations, which are necessary for proposal of worm conveyor. The structural part includes mechanical drawings, which consists of drawing of configuration and drawings of details for worm shaft.
Modification of dry stuff with lime sludge
Švec, Jiří ; Kovářová, Alena (referee) ; Ptáček, Petr (advisor)
In modern point of view of waste management is desirable to effectively process the grates possible amount of wastes. Sediments from cleaning of mined lime stones contains a lot of clay components, but there is also indispensable share of soft calcite. Especially this can be use in following processing. After firing, where is necessary to set suitable temperature, arises a mixture of soft calcinated lime and remaining dehydrated mineral components. This calcinated mixture could partially replace used binders in dry stuffs.
